Novell is now Patron of KDE

Great news: Novell became as first Linux distributor an official patron of KDE. I don't understand why this wasn't announced by Novell yet. I could only find Novell now listed on a webpage of KDE e.V.: 'Supporting Members', but I think this is a good step of Novell/SUSE to give some back to the (KDE) community.

Just have a look on [1].

They should've made a dot story (as all patrons are permitted to do)! =)

I think the dot stories are deliberately delayed so that each new Patron gets a big story with no other new Patrons the same week. Then again I've been told some patrons have declined the story because they do not want to appear endorsing one desktop over another.

c'mon! Novell has been supporting dozens of oepn-source projects for years, just have a look at their supported projects page: http://en.opensuse.org/Novell_Supported_Projects

Timo: Just have a look on

It's the one thing to list it in one part of the website which nobody see. The way Novell go is currently very bad marketing (pay 10.000 $/Euro and don't do anything)!

Yes, but:
1) what mean 'support' in this case? IMO the listed projects are only listed if someone on SUSE is part of the project.
2) be a Patron of KDE is IMO something complete different and more than cogito in this list.
